Kitty Collage
Let children find and cut out pictures of cats from greeting cards
and magazines. Children can then paste their cats on pieces of
construction paper.
Pom Pom Painting
Set out several different colors of tempera paint. Using pom-pom
balls, let children create their own designs or construction paper.
Cat Mask
Using paper plates or paper bags along with paper scraps, yarn,
crayons, scissors, and paint, let children design cat masks.

Provide various medical supplies such as a stethoscope, bandages,
etc.. along with stuffed cats.
Science Table
Provide a scale and different cat items (such as cat toys, collar,
food dish, etc.) to weigh.
Set out a magnifying glass to observe different kinds of dry cat food.

Ingredients: 1/2 peach(head), almonds(ears), red hots(eyes),
raisin(nose), stick pretzels(whiskers)
Create a cat face suing the ideas above or a variety of other items.

Cat and Mouse Tag
Gather children for a game. One child is the cat and chases the
others, who are mice.
When the cat tags a mouse, he or she becomes a mouse for the next
round of play, and the tagged mouse becomes the cat. Vary the game by
changing the movements from running to hopping, or crawling.
