Pocahontas
Pocahontas (c 1595–1617) An indian woman who fostered peace between English colonists and Native Americans. Pocahonta was the daughter of Chief Powhatan the leader of an alliance of around 30 Algonquian-speaking groups in the Tidewater Virginia region.

Marie Curie (1867–1934) Polish/French scientist. Madam Curie is one of the most famous women scientiest in history. She was born in Warsaw in 1867. She was the first women to win a Nobel Prize and the first person to win the award twice. With her husband, Pierre Curie, thier work led to the discovery of two radiactive substances: polonium and radium. These discoveries led to the development of X-rays.
